Land Reclamation and Woodlands

Trees are an exciting way of helping to restore land that has been degraded by industrial activity. We work with mining, quarrying and landfill companies as well as local authorities, government initiatives and other professionals to help turn degraded landscapes into productive, valuable and attractive assets.

Trees and the Environment

Project Profile:

At Cove Bay near Aberdeen, Eamonn Wall & Co worked along side environmental consultants, Aspinwall, to turn an old landfill site into an attractive area of community woodland on the edge of a new housing area. The site incorporates areas of open grassland, native broadleaved woodland, new footpaths, benches and signs. We were able to secure Forestry Commission grant aid on behalf of our client, Wimpey Homes, to help turn what was an unattractive industrial site into a valuable resource for local residents.
